As an advertising account executive, you will also generate new business by prospecting and making cold calls, participating in budgeting and forecasting, attending trade shows and industry events and representing Cox Media in the local business community to build awareness and engagement. It’s a fun gig that requires strategic thinking and awesome people skills.

You should have at least one year of cable, broadcast, digital advertising sales/support or marketing experience, as well as Interactive Advertising Bureau certification and/or Google Ad Word certification. You should also have the ability to develop new business and achieve individual sales goals.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required, as well as a valid driving license, good driving record and reliable transportation. You should be a motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations and have the ability to multitask, manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks.
