Cox Media is expanding our digital team and currently hiring for an energetic digital advertising account executive. You will be responsible for selling digital products and services to companies across the country while working remotely. This is an outstanding full-time opportunity for someone interested in a fast-paced, fun, as well as challenging sales environment. You will work directly with small to medium businesses and advertising agencies to uncover and understand their unique needs and then develop customized solutions to drive revenue results for their businesses and clients.

Our Digital Advertising Account Executive will own the complete sales process from prospecting to sale completion while being supported by your sales service partner and digital team. Our digital product offerings include Google, YouTube, Amazon, Facebook, Instagram, Spotify, and Programmatic to name a few.

  • Engage with new and existing clients to understand business objectives and create marketing campaigns to drive results through effective digital advertising solutions

  • Generate new business leads by prospecting and making cold calls to achieve and exceed sales goals 

  • Sell digital advertising and marketing solutions customized to each client's needs, from the Cox Media product suite that includes streaming commercials, online video, social media placements, and mobile marketing solutions 

  • Understand prospect’s organization and build relationships focusing on key decision-makers 

  • Create and present customized sales presentations/proposals and successfully close negotiations

  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting individual revenue achievement

  • Increase knowledge of sales and product offerings through provided on-going training

  • Attend trade shows, industry events and represent Cox Media in the local business community to build awareness and engagement 


  • 2- 5+ years of digital advertising sales experience 

  • Ability to develop new business and achieve individual sales goals 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)

  • Motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals and push revenue expectations 

  • Valid driving license, good driving record, and reliable transportation

  • Ability to multitask, manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team-oriented environment


  • BS/BA or Master’s degree in related discipline strongly desired (business, advertising, or marketing) 

  • Solid understanding of marketing principles and applications in business 

  • Solid understanding of Programmatic, SEM, Paid Social, Social services, DV360, Amazon, YouTube, OTT, CTV, Digital Audio and Email marketing

  • Interactive Advertising Bureau Certification and/or Google Ad Words Certified a plus

  • Zoom and or Teams technology



  • Compensation includes a base salary of $27,400.00 - $41,100.00. The salary rate may vary outside of the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience.
  • Position is eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or and incentive program.
