Summary of the role:
This position is a great opportunity for those who like to have a variety of tasks in hand and like to keep busy! The role is a 60/40 split between lot operation work and detailing.

We are looking for a new team member to support our new auction based in Richmond, BC. We need someone with a passion for cars, a great sense of organization to ensure that vehicles are placed appropriately throughout the site and someone who has experience in automotive detailing to perform the required work by cleaning and preparing vehicles for sale.

Responsibilities :

  • Locate and drive vehicles scheduled for shipping to the designated shipping area. Write appropriate vehicle releases.
  • As directed by supervisor, drive vehicles from canopies to designated areas.
  • Ensure that barcode stickers are affixed to vehicles prior to entering the main sales lot. Scan bar code into handheld computer for processing in the AS400 system.
  • Remove unnecessary identification from vehicles. Relocate and park vehicles as directed. Input odometer reading into the AS400 computer system.
  • Assist other employees who may be unfamiliar with lot operations and lot practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., direct traffic flow during/after sales, organize/stage sale cars after the sale, etc.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Remove license plates from vehicles delivered to receiving lot Forward plates to appropriate auction personnel.
  • Vehicle Cleaning (wash and minor detailing), Vacuuming, Pressure Washing and Rinsing Cars, soaping cars, Prepping Vehicles. Not limited to: Washing cars, drying cars, Washing Windows, Buffing and Polishing, Paint Decontamination, Waterless Wash, Wiping the vehicle and glass with the microfiber cloths, Applying Tire Shine.

Requirements :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Auction and/or driving experience
  • Valid Drivers License with ability to drive vehicles both standard and automatic transmission
  • Basic computer skills
  • Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
  • May be required to work overtime
