The Technical Training Instructor executes instructor-led technical courses for FleeTec candidates, Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services employees, and Cox Automotive Mobility Fleet Services customers. If you are looking for a new opportunity, we would love to speak with you!
Job Duties:
- TEACHING: Assists Instructor in the presentation of course content for students in accordance with approved course outlines in topics consistent with their specific curriculum competencies. These include classroom, laboratory, and hands-on teaching environments.
- C LASS PREP ARATION : Assists Instructor in preparing instructional materials; including course flash drives, name cards, laptops, and other instructional materials. Contributes, as appropriate, to program improvement and development.
- COMMUNICATION: Assures effective two-way communication at all levels of responsibility. Provides communication opportunities with students both in and outside the classroom. Participates in department and Company meetings as appropriate. Represents FleeTec to external constituencies as appropriate. Seeks to promote a spirit of collegiality in dealings with FleeTec staff.
- STUDENT ADVISING, RETENTION, AND ASSESSMENT: Participates in processes designed to recruit, advise, mentor, and retain students.
- LEADERSHIP: Provides leadership in the learning environment and technical expertise.
- FACILITY: Assumes responsibility for the orderliness of the learning environment and the appropriate and safe use of instructional facilities and equipment. Updates, maintains, and repairs assets relating to instructor-led courses when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Attains and updates all training credentials required by manufacturer to maintain status as qualification for technical instructor.
Required Credentials:
- Mentor experience
- Able to comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing and through practice with employees and customers easily and effectively.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of experience as a Technical Instructor in the Heavy duty/Diesel Field
- Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of experience as a Technical Instructor in the Heavy Duty/Diesel Field
- Ten (10) years of experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in lieu of a degree with two (2) years of technical training experien
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office 365 suite programs and Internet-based research.
- ASE Master Certified in T Series. Does not have to be current
