What You’ll Do:

As a marketer, you know a thing or two about the power of positioning a product and telling a brand’s story. You know that it takes both vision and verve to grab an audience’s attention, spur excitement in the marketplace and drive awareness and education to audiences, both internal and external, along the way. 

You’ll be involved with building and supporting our product marketing strategy well as being integral in the development and execution of overall brand positioning for Cox Automotive. You’ll put a strong emphasis on building and fostering relationships with Sales, Pricing, Product, Operations, Research and Market Intelligence, and other Marketing teams to effectively manage the development of compelling value propositions and insightful positioning and strategy to help achieve agreed-upon business goals.

  • Help lead marketing efforts on cross-sell and enterprise initiatives, working with teams from multiple brands across Cox Automotive to develop and support programs and positioning to broaden adoption and use of our products and services.  

  • Aid in the development of and oversee the product marketing messaging related to cross-brand/portfolio value propositions, including sales enablement tools, competitive comparisons, etc. 

  • Manage the creative execution of paid-media plans, overseeing the strategy and development of trafficked assets and ensuring on-time deliverables to media partners. 

  • Partner with stakeholders to secure client KPIs for products or a combined set of products for use in marketing and sales messaging 

  • Drive collaboration with cross-brand teams to build positioning, targeting, pricing, programs, and messaging for relevant segments and audiences. 

  • Explore and recommend new ideas and content best practices across strategy, creative and execution (copy, ads, emails and more). 

  • Ensure creative is on brand and best-in-class, in partnership with internal and external agencies and reinforce throughout the organization 

  • Develop compelling marketing pitches to support client-facing engagements. 

  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, insights and competitive landscape to develop more effective content and messaging to gain alignment with internal stakeholders. 

  • Keep a client-first mindset, drive and deliver content that leaves a lasting impact on the automotive ecosystem. 

  • Identify content performance KPIs and continue to refine the content strategies based on performance metrics, reinforcing the value that all marketing efforts are delivering to the organization. 

  • Work closely with leaders and stakeholders to plan and execute against a robust thought-leadership and events calendar to position Cox Automotive as the industry leader that we are.

Who You Are/ Qualifications:  


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in marketing. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as Master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a PH.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years’ experience in a related field.

  • Navigate and succeed in a fluid work environment with many partners. 

  • Work on cross-functional teams in both leadership and member roles. 

  • Work with cross-divisional stakeholders and teams.

  • Analysis skills to not only present data, but also summarize the findings and propose recommendations for future improvement. 

  • Inspire trust and respect and have the background to prove it.

  • Experience and vision to build cohesive client experiences across marketing campaigns and initiatives.  

  • Approach work with a spirit of partnership, proactivity and dependability.  


  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or Public Relations.

  • Agency experience.

  • Experience in developing creative for advertising materials and communications.

  • Pragmatic Institute certifications.
