A Network Engineering Intern will have an opportunity to support initiatives across the enterprises. They will work closely with senior level team members on a variety of projects and tasks. Network intern will work across multiple technologies including software defined networking, legacy route/switch, WiFi, and cloud.


  • Review, edit network-based documentation. 
  • Develop task-flow documentation. 
  • Audit environment to ensure alignment with company policies. 
  • Work in an innovative environment with a chance to make an impact. 
  • Independent judgment is required to organize, plan and prioritize a diversified workload in support of one or multiple projects. 
  • Work with engineers to activate network device templates and environments. 
  • Work with engineers to resolve various technical issues within multiple network environments. 



  • Currently enrolled in a degree program such as Computer Science, or other related degree program.
  • Internship positions are located in Atlanta, GA; Cox Enterprises does not provide a housing allowance. 


  • Motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to balance competing priorities. 
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with basic network connectivity methods
  • General knowledge of IP network
  • Familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint 
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. 
  • Detailed-oriented with good organizational skills.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Quickly understands new information and how it connects to a larger picture. 
  • Openness to receiving and applying feedback. 
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask successfully. 
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced work environment. 
  • Possess an outgoing, collaborative, and get-it-done personality.
