Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team! The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a seasoned contributor with a deep understanding of financial analysis and business case creation. Performs client support by understanding the day-to-day operations/business of specific departments within the Technology organization (as assigned) and providing consultative services. Independently performs assignments, is a self-starter, and is willing to learn. Determines and develops an approach to assignments and solutions while receiving guidance only on unusual or highly complex problems.
Duties and responsibilities

Performs modeling - Conceptualizes, prepares, and presents advanced economic models, analyses, and recommendations.

Provide financial and operational consultative services through collaborative partnerships - Recommends and facilitates changes; analyzes and reviews data and resolves questions and problems.

Performs financial analysis - Develops financial and operational analyses and identifies emerging trends. This may include cost analysis, financial and expense performance comparisons, and calculations of the rate of return and cash flows. Additional ad-hoc analysis based on customer needs.

Performs data analysis - Gathers and compiles data to identify complex business trends/dynamics and provides recommendations. Develop a construct to access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources.

Performs reporting - Develops and modifies financial reports and statements. Creates advanced visualizations of extracted data.

Monitor and optimize business processes - Provides and reviews data to ensure compliance and effectiveness of complex operational and financial processes, identifying anomalies and making recommendations.

Project Management – Facilitates partnership, coordinates stakeholder communication, and completes assignments to support project objectives.
Required Qualifications
-
A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.) and four years of experience is required. A master’s degree and two years of experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or eight years of experience in a related field of experience will be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree.

Advanced financial modeling and data analysis

Experience in Oracle, Hyperion, OneStream, or another multidimensional database.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial tools.

Knowledge of Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Ability to explain financials to various audiences at different organizational levels.

Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.

Strong Communication skills with storytelling abilities

Proficient Project Management
-
Highly motivated and detail-oriented, able to influence others, multi-task, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Preferred qualifications include

Experience in the telecommunications industry desired

Prior experience with Apptio software is a plus.

Experience supporting Technology organizations is a plus.

Experience in a Business Operations role
