Job Summary:

This AVP and his/her team will oversee all marketing activities including customer value management and research, product and competitive marketing, business to business marketing and marketing communications. Establish organizational marketing to attain sales and profitability goals. Collaborate with product, strategy, and sales teams in addition to the rest of the executive team to initiate and respond to external challenges and opportunities. Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing programs. Plans, coordinates, recommends, and executes promotion strategies for new and existing services that achieve maximum penetration and buy rates consistent with short and long-term objectives and budgets. This position reports to the General Manager of RapidScale, and will maintain tight alignment and coordination with the Cox Business Senior Vice President of Marketing

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Provides leadership and direction in marketing strategy in support of integrated business and product offerings

  • Works closely with the executive team to align on key strategic goals and acts as a thought leader in helping to develop the long-term managed IT services and cloud strategy

  • Further develop and create a marketing sciences organization that provides an in-depth focus into customer behaviors and trends

  • Ensures marketing alignment with ongoing growth priorities across the Cox Business commercial portfolio; leveraging smart coordination intended to drive holistic customer growth

  • Ensures corporate/system goals are met by coordinating the preparation of the department’s annual operating and capital budgets and ensuring that department expenditures fall within budget and developing customer growth, retention, and loyalty projections

  • Identifies, develops, and tracks key metrics and success criteria to identify market opportunities

  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships within the organization and with program suppliers and key industry leaders

  • Develops and implements a comprehensive go-to-market strategy

  • Superior supervisory management and career development to the members of the RS marketing team

  • Strategic oversight to resource allocation, making sure we are effective through the marketing systems, vendor relationships and contracted scopes of work

  • Oversee and be accountable for the execution of all marketing campaigns, programs, and marketing ROI goals

  • Provide thought leadership via best-practice sharing across the broader, CB marketing team, leveraging the CCI capabilities more fully

  • Shape strong partnerships with the CB marketing center of excellence teams to maximize effectiveness and efficiency including: Brand, Creative, Advanced Analytics, Customer Insights, Media, Digital, and Hospitality/Events planning & execution

Customer Strategy :

  • Develops and creates customer value management strategies to enhance the acquisition and retention of customers based on in-depth customer segmentation

  • Continuously adapt to the evolving customer demands ensuring design and implementation of campaigns and messaging is holistic and customer centric

  • Ensures short- and long-term marketing objectives are met by conceiving, executing, and assessing strategies on products, promotions, incentives and by administrating strategies in such a way that optimizes market share and wallet share

  • Develops retention and loyalty programs that facilitate the reduction of subscriber churn and collaborates with all customer contact groups to ensure optimal service and support to subscribers

Product Strategy :

  • Ensures the company’s products and services are in tune with customer demand and provide maximum opportunity for growth in the marketplace

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Development to represent customer insights developed from marketing sciences to facilitate product ideation.

Qualifications :  

  • Bachelor’s degree and 14+ years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. with 9 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, 18 years of experience will be considered.

  • At least 7 years’ leadership experience ideally in the managed cloud services industry

  • Broad function knowledge and experience in marketing, business, market development, market research, promotions, product marketing or marketing communications

  • Strategic thinker with ability to identify and react to long term trends while overseeing and leading day to day tactical initiatives that drive the business

  • Bias for action in analyzing issues/opportunities and quickly responding to market threats or opportunities

  • Strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills and communications skills

  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams

  • Strong presentation and communication skills and ability.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written, communication and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering and executing marketing strategy

  • Demonstrate ability to influence decisions in areas outside of direct control through collaboration and teamwork.

  • Highly developed ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities in a fast-paced competitive market environment.

  • Strong leadership and coaching skillset.

  • Working knowledge of strategic planning, operations planning, business analysis, and general business consulting principles.


Compensation:

  • Compensation includes a base salary of $170,100.00 - $283,500.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
