Cox Automotive is seeking a Financial Analyst II with a solid understanding of financial analysis and business cases. The analyst will support the operations of the Vehicle Information business, including Inspections & Imaging and Fyusion, which is one of our newest and exciting technology acquisitions! Fyusion is currently one of Cox Automotive’s key strategic focus areas spanning Inventory Solutions and Mobility. In the upcoming months, its technology will reimagine Manheim’s inspection and imaging process! The role will be critical in assisting our business and finance partners to measure the financial output of the company’s new strategies.
This role requires a self-starter with a strong eagerness to learn. A successful candidate would exemplify a willingness to work in a fast paced, cross-functional environment. Strong analytical skills and an understanding of P&L statements, variance analysis, and financial modeling are needed in this role. Creation of new reports to support the business may be required as Fyusion continues to grow!

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Planning and Reporting – Updates month end reporting and presentations, prepares variance analysis, and assisting with annual budget process

Modeling – Conceptualizes and prepares driver-based models, analyses and recommendations.

Financials analysis - Develops financial and operational analyses and identifies emerging trends. May include cost analysis, financial and expense performance comparisons, rate fluctuations, etc. Additional ad-hoc analysis requested based on business need.

Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Tracking – Updates reporting needed to track the financial impact of Fyusion and Vehicle Information’s software capabilities.

Story Telling – Ability to analyze large amounts of data, summarize/condense it and identify key takeaways.

Collaboration – Comfort in connecting with peers and business partners at multiple levels to understand company needs.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in related function (Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.) preferred. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with up to 2 years of related experience. A non-degreed candidate will have 6+ years of experience.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Requires working knowledge of relational databases (i.e. Oracle, Onestream, Smartview/Essbase, etc.)

Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging, fast paced environment

Ability to develop and maintain business partner relationships

Unceasing curiosity and detail orientation
