What You’ll Do:

Helping manage and monitor all cloud infrastructure, including deployments to non-prod and production environments.
Monitoring environments for security vulnerabilities and independently take action to remediate and mitigate risks.
Troubleshooting production issues, engaging appropriate parties and driving resolution.
Collaborating with teams across the company to improve the overall operational maturity of Cloud and on-premise solutions.
Continually improving operational processes and procedures.
Building, configuring, customizing, and integrating custom environments to deploy analytics and data correlation.
Configuring, optimizing, documenting and supporting the highest level of software components of Data Support Systems (DSS) software products.
Supporting and troubleshooting the scalability, high availability, performance and monitoring of production environments, providing backup and platform restoration as needed.
Working independently across multiple highly complex automation platforms and applications to understand dependencies.
Working with engineers/QA to ensure that issues are resolved and fixes deployed in a timely fashion.
Ensuring that issues are tracked appropriately in the ticket management system.
Integrating with development teams to provide a stable cloud environment and improved speed-to-market.
Developing and maintaining tools for support team members.
Investigating opportunities to use new and emerging technologies making recommendations to leadership.
Maintaining active and open lines of communication with leaders, practitioners and end users to ensure all parties are informed of what is provided, how it operates and what is needed.

Who You Are

You have strong knowledge of end-to-end OnPrem and cloud development process and architecture. You have expertise with networking/database technologies, as well as excellent leadership, presentation and time management skills. You also have the following qualifications:

Minimum

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years’ experience in a related field.
Experience with Amazon Web Services, including strong experience with multiple AWS services beyond traditional IaaS.
Experience with cloud native application architecture, including serverless architecture, Lambda, API Gateway, containerization and microservice-based solutions.
Experience with cloud strategy, including business case development, cost management and optimization, application assessment, migration planning, operating model design and backup/disaster recovery approach.
Experience with integration and database services, including Glue, Snowball Services, server and DB migration, Aurora, server migration service, DynamoDB and Redshift design and tuning.
Experience with enterprise integration and database services, including AWS, VPC flow log, Cloud Watch, Config, Service Catalog, CI/CD pipeline setup, Encryption/KMS/Cloud HSM, Inspector, Macie, IAM policies/roles, Shield, WAF, network connectivity, direct connect and VPN.
Experience with analytics and big data, including data pipeline, Athena, Elastic Map Reduce and Kinesis.
Proven and progressive experience supporting applications deployed in public/private cloud.

Preferred:

5+ years of experience with SQL performance tuning.
Experience with core technology domains, including persistency/storage, elastic block storage, simple storage service, elastic file system, Glacier and Storage Gateway.
Experience with Master Data Management.
Experience in the telecommunications industry.
Experience supporting microservice-based solutions.
Experience with and expert-level scripting skills in such languages as Python and Shell.
Experience with skills in automation platforms as Ansible, Jenkins and Artifactory
Experience with and expert level skills in platforms such as New Relic and Spunk.
