Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a full-time employee position based in Carmel, IN office. This will be hybrid" work-from-home role requiring the selected candidate to come into our Carmel office approximately once a week, and potentially up to 10 times a month.
We are migrating data from MS SQL Server to Snowflake and seeking a Senior Data Engineer with extensive hands on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool), Airflow, Data Vault & Snowflake cloud platforms.
What you'll be doing :

The selected candidate will have a robust background in software development, coding, and hands-on experience to steer our Infrastructure Automation practice. This role will be integral to transforming the way Cox Automotive designs, delivers, and manages infrastructure within our strategic on-premises data centers.

Responsible for technical design, writing, support and operations of efficient, scalable, and extensible data integrations and ingestions.

Participate in architecture and design efforts.

Implement enhancements for prioritized data integration and ingestions work efforts partnering with the business to ensure they meet the specified requirements.

Create and own the technical product backlogs for products, help the team to close the backlogs in right time.

Work closely with product managers and engineers to design, implement, test, and continually improve scalable data solutions and services running on DBT & Snowflake cloud platforms.

Implement critical and non-critical system data integration and ingestion fixes for the data platform and environment. Ensuring root cause resolution to identified problems. Monitor and support the Data Solutions jobs and processes to meet the daily SLA.

Translate business requirements, data mappings into data integrations and ingestions code solutions.

Design and maintain data pipelines using DBT and Data Vault.

Work effectively with Technology Operations/Infrastructure teams to ensure continued operations and maintenance of the data integrations and ingestions as well as the data platform and environment.

Full lifecycle application development related to middleware and enterprise data movement.

Develop scalable production ready data integration and processing solutions.
What we require from you :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 4+ years of relevant work experience; or a Master's degree plus 2+ years of relevant work experience; or a PhD plus 0-1 years of relevant experience

In lieu of a degree, qualified candidates would require 8+ years of relevant professional experience

Solid experience supporting Snowflake Data Warehouse

Previous experience with DBT, Airflow

Solid MS SQL Server skills including reporting experience using SSIS/SSRS

Good to have AWS and Azure cloud implementation experience.

Good to have Reporting development and Production support.
