Description

At Cox Communications, we’re looking for an Inside Solutions Advisor who understands just how the tortoise beat the hare. Are you someone who takes the time to do things right? As a patient and strategizing salesperson, you’re in it for the long haul. You’ll focus on inbound sales initiatives, handling telephony, data, wireless and video solutions for both new and existing small and medium business customers. You’ll also develop spot-on strategies for selling bundled services. Other responsibilities include:  

  • Making outbound calls to existing customers to upsell additional products and services. 

  • Handling customer renewals as they arise. 

  • Listening to customers to understand their needs. 

  • Developing proposals and delivering presentations to new clients based on their business needs. 

  • Negotiating pricing, service level and terms and conditions with clients. 

  • Determining serviceability of client location. 

  • Working with sales engineers to determine appropriate solutions and address any issues regarding installation or service. 

  • Performing ROI assessments to determine if a sale is profitable. 

  • Following up to qualify prospects and request the return of signed contracts. 

  • Educating customers on installed products, service offerings, billing and charges. 

  • Developing alternate lead sources and soliciting referrals from customers. 

  • Working with sales support administration to complete sales orders. 

  • Providing customer intelligence and feedback to marketing department. 

Qualifications

Minimum

  • High school diploma, GED or relevant work experience

  • 5+ years of experience in related field (Sales/Sales Support/Customer Service), 3+ years with a BA/BS

  • Ability to meet and exceed monthly sales goals

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and balance incoming customer inquiries with proactive sales activities

  • Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

Preferred 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 1 year experience working in a position that requires meeting sales goals 

  • 6 months experience selling telecommunications products/services 

  • Outbound experience selling technology products
