Description

Supervise and audit employee work to ensure that the required work is satisfactorily completed.   Manage the workflow and activities of the employees to ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established SNT/Cox Automotive quality standards.

Monitor employee’s work processes to ensure that production SOP is adhered to.  Communicate, discuss, and resolve goals, results, and problems with the Operations leadership.  Responsible for ensuring all services are completed, accounted for and applied properly to the customer’s account. Counsel and discipline employees as necessary, monitoring and evaluating employee job performance, and conducting performance appraisals.

Effectively lead the team at the location by setting an example in behavior, championing Cox/SNT values and ensuring that all employees are treated with respect. Monitor and control the use of supplies, materials and equipment of the department supervisor purchase equipment and supplies as necessary.  Work with supervisor to review work volume, plan and continuously monitor staffing levels to ensure efficiency, quality work product, and effective customer service

Review departmental performance against key performance indicators and metrics and develop and execute strategies for improvement.

Monitor and aide in ensuring established guidelines for a safe work environment are met to achieve compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. SNT/Cox safety standards.

 Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.

Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS Degree plus 3yrs experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, required.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse position, preferred.
  • Forklift certification, required.

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a physical position and requires continuous lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, bending, stooping and good dexterity.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times with or without assistance.
