The eDiscovery Client Engagement Intern supports e-Discovery services in support of the legal teams, both internal and external.  Supports case intake and tracking process with firm understanding of legal deadlines.  Will conduct audits of cases and therefore must have a strong attention to detail. Has a general understanding of legal processes and procedures based on industry best practices.  Must possess strong communication, organization, and time management skills.


  • Assist in the case intake and tracking process keeping the team on schedule to meet any legal deadlines.

  • Conduct audit of open cases.

  • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all tasks or assignments.

  • Maintain documentation of eDiscovery center of excellence standard work procedures.

  • Develop an understanding of the cross-divisional support requirements that will include all Cox divisions consisting of Cox Enterprises Inc., Cox Communications Inc., and Cox Automotive Inc.

  • Advocate customer needs internally to ensure the eDiscovery team meets customer needs.

  • Assist in editing/updating/improving training courses and educational materials.

  • Leverage and communicate with cross-divisional business and technical teams to support customer needs.

  • Assist in capturing customer requirements and work with peers to create scopes of work and enablement plans to address deliverables.

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD)

  • Strong basic computer skills and knowledge of desktop PC based systems and mobile devices

  • Must possess excellent communication and organization skills; professional demeanor

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamically changing priorities

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience working independently and relying upon judgement in carrying out responsibilities

  • Technical ability to work in a multi-platform environment

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
