Description

The Corporate Benefits team at Cox is looking for an intern to help with the auditing, implementation, and evaluation of our employee relief fund, disability, and medical programs. The internship will include a variety of hands-on experiences including event coordination as well as technical experience with auditing reporting and evaluation. This internship is appropriate for students pursuing undergraduate or graduate degrees in human services, human resources, and other related fields. Strong attention to details and communications skills will be important for success in this role.

  • Become familiar with employee relief fund, disability, and medical programs and their business goals, objectives and needs
  • Perform audit of database systems for accurate recording and reporting
  • Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
  • Perform research and analysis in support of operations
  • Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data
  • Manipulate and interpret data using Excel; use data to support recommendations and reporting for our plans and programs
  • Review and update marketing materials and employee communications
  • Assist fellow team members by partnering on various reporting, analysis, projects, and campaigns
  • May perform additional projects upon request

** Note: Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
