Lead Software Engineer

Job Description

Lead Software Engineer positions offered by Cox Automotive Corporate Services, LLC (Atlanta, GA). Provide technical leadership to projects involving Salesforce applications and systems, including the implementation of capabilities and features, improvement of performance and maintainability, and the reduction of technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps.  Liaise with Product Management to understand the challenges that customers and end users face in their day-to-day work and partner with them to design viable solutions.  Provide input into story sizing, backlog grooming, and release planning.  Oversee the development of software applications across multiple platforms in response to the needs of stakeholders.  Understand technical architecture and guide the writing of software and automated tests that are aligned with agreed upon standards.  Perform trouble-shooting efforts and investigations when necessary.  Develop effective implementation and procurement strategies, consistent with business needs. Take part in reviews of own work and lead reviews of colleagues' work.  Establish standards and procedures across the technology service lifecycle (including the development lifecycle) in the areas of systems integration and testing and ensures that development teams adhere to them.   Manage application enhancements to improve business performance.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in the position offered or 6 years of experience developing software.  Also requires 6 years of experience:  working with the Salesforce platform.  In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 6 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated.  Also requires 1 year of experience:  developing and implementing highly scalable, high-volume software systems using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components; developing in multiple technology stacks including Front-end (browser and client-side technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript); realizing applications from conception and design, to implementation and support; working with agile application lifecycle methodologies; working with Github, Bitbucket, SourceForge, or Gitlab version control system; and working with Copado, Auto Rabbit, or Jenkins continuous delivery and deployment tools.  Requires Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification. Position reports to office in Atlanta, GA.  Position may work from home, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.
