Cox Communications is hiring a Complex Billing Analyst I. This role will be responsible for researching and resolving billing issues and discrepancies associated with Blueprint RF invoicing. This position will also process orders to customer accounts. As well as, identifying issues regarding bills due to premature billing or incorrect SKUs and initiate the dispute resolution process. This role will provide on-going daily support to the Blueprint RF Billing Department.


  • Researches and resolves billing issues and discrepancies

  • Process and complete orders as directed

  • Concludes timely review of escalated customer bills within Zoura billing platform

  • Research data entry errors that impact revenue and billing reports, and communicates issues to appropriate contacts

  • Reviews data in billing databases to ensure reflection of appropriate charges and changes due to new billing, renewals, removals, or cancellations

  • Identifies root cause of billing/rating issues and coordinates resolution with appropriate departments

  • Monitors customer contracts to ensure the billing of services are appropriate and accurate

  • Responsible for emailing customer’s requested documentation (invoices, credit memo’s and/or other statements)

  • Processes credit card payments and sends new links when necessary

  • Escalates clients’ requests for terms outside of the norm to Manager for approval

  • Provides ongoing billing training and education to customers when processes or other things change

  • Identifies anomalies that affect billing by noticing trends in customer-based issues

  • Maintains, reviews, and analyzes data files and billing system for inconsistencies, troubleshoots data integrity issues and develops cleanup strategy if needed

  • Ensures account integrity through following through on failures both payments and invoices

  • Assists Accounts Receivable with ad hoc Collection notices and other requests

  • Completes and supports other tasks and projects as assigned

  • Maintains standards as established through existing methods and procedures

  • Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential

  • Learns and adheres to company regulatory requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience working in billing and/or collections. A candidate may also have a Master's Degree with 2 years of experience. A non-degreed candidate will have 6+ years of relevant experience.

  • Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.

  • Outstanding problem solving skills 

  • Experience with business to business relationships



  • Experience with Zoura billing platform.


Compensation includes a base salary of $53,200.00 - $79,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.


The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
