Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description

Senior Systems Engineer positions offered by Rapidscale, Inc. (Atlanta, GA). Work with platform and web portal teams to create visualizations of cloud management data for customer-facing UI (Pulse) including front end and back end. Participate in team planning sessions, daily scrums and build interfaces and visualizations of platform and reporting systems. Develop a clean, responsive, and reusable user interface using React.js. Write interface code using Typescript. Translate designs of mockups/wireframes into high-quality code. Develop front-end visualizations from back-end data APIs. Communicate with the QA to deliver code ready for automated testing. 

Minimum Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture or a related field and 4 years of experience in the position offered or 4 years of experience utilizing JavaScript framework. Also requires 4 years of experience working with Git Version Control Systems (VCS); and utilizing Typescript best practices including development patterns and interface designing. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated, the employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, or a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 1 year of experience as stated.  Also requires 1 year of experience working with data visualization libraries including D3 or Highcharts. Employee reports to Atlanta, GA but may telecommute from any location in the U.S.

Compensation includes a base salary of $143,560. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
