Business Services Specialist II

This position supports three auction locations and provides customer service, processes incoming titles, compiles and maintains records of business transactions and office activities, as well as handles basic data entry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily administration functions including front counter, collecting & posting payments, customer service, data entry, filing and routing, etc.
  • Provide quality customer service through face to face, e-mail, and phone support. Answer questions and provide support.
  • Perform basic data entry into the AS400 computer system as well as the Windows based Customer Service Application and Title Management System.
  • Sort, process, and file all incoming titles and supporting documents using the Title Management System.
  • Complete daily bank deposits via Oracle and banking software with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contact clients weekly for updates on outstanding vehicle titles and enter notes in the corresponding records in the Title Management System.
  • Run, sort, and audit miscellaneous reports for title inventory and payment information and complete any necessary steps to address incorrect records.
  • Prepare, issue, and send out correspondence, bills, invoices, receipts, checks, or other documents.
  • Manage office supply inventory and place orders as needed to ensure adequate inventory.
  • Operate office equipment, such as copier, fax machine, scanner, postage machine, etc.
  • Sort and route incoming mail and Airborne/FedEx packages and letters. Drop off and pick up mail at the U.S. Post office on a daily basis as needed.
  • Prepare outgoing mail with sufficient postage and ensure daily mail is posted. Prepare Airborne/FedEx labels via computer and printer.
  • Assure items mailed are properly packaged, labeled and addressed, and replenish mail machine postage meter as required.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • May travel within the front office market center (North Carolina, Darlington, and Wilmington locations) with managers to help assist when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior clerical or administrative experience required.
  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
  • Good communication and organizational skills required, with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic computer software skills required, including the Microsoft Office applications.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service required.
  • Must be positive, personable, self-motivated, and have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.    
  • Must be a team player but also able to work independently.   
  • Must be able to operate adding machines and other office equipment (i.e., copier, fax machine, etc.).
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks, manual dexterity.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception.


Drug Testing:

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.


Hourly base pay rate is $15.87 - $23.75/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.


Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
