The Role:

The Talent Acquisition (“TA”) team is responsible for providing best-in-class talent consultation and recruiting service delivery across all of Fleet Services divisions.  The TA group operates in a team-style environment where collaboration, and agility, are vital to our success.  Each member of our team has the responsibility and opportunity to influence recruiting strategies, innovate improvements in our function, and drive exceptional experiences across our customer groups.

The TA team is seeking a Supervisor, Talent Acquisition – Fleet Services to assist with driving a best-in-class function by collaborating with hiring leaders to develop flexible TA strategies aligning with business needs and effectively addressing business unit growth.  As a leader and mentor within TA, the Supervisor, Talent Acquisition is also responsible for the professional development of individual team members and the successful operation of the team as whole. In addition to leadership duties, this role will maintain a requisition load with corresponding hiring goals.
 

Responsibilities:

CLIENT AND STRATEGY

  • Serve as a trusted business partner to hiring leaders by developing talent acquisition plans and solutions to achieve short-term talent needs and long-term business growth.

  • Drive workforce planning strategies by proactively consulting on industry, market, and business unit-specific factors impacting the planned TA vision/outlook.

  • Counsel hiring leaders on innovative recruiting practices and effective talent planning decisions as their day-to-day TA subject matter expert.

  • Balance the customization of individual TA solutions with the alignment of divisional TA vision and the adherence to consistent TA practices.

  • Develop and employ effective communication mechanisms/routines designed to fortify client partnerships and maximize information exchange.

  • Collaborate with HR on relevant talent management practices (e.g., new hire requirements, compensation) and compliance requirements to ensure TA plans are aligned accordingly.

  • Collaborate with Diversity & Inclusion to ensure diversity strategies are embedded and executed per the plan.

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Serve as a member of the TA leadership team by role modeling the vision of the team, the values of the company, and the focus on TA’s best-in-class status.

  • Guide day to day recruiting activities of the team, ensuring speedy applications, leads and requisitions processing.

  • Coach, mentor, and lead direct reports through developmental plans tailored to each individual and developmental strategies aligned to overall team growth and engagement.

  • Partner with colleagues across TA (e.g., peers, Requisition Delivery, COE) to gather internal (e.g., new service offerings, TA performance feedback) and external intelligence (e.g., market analysis) to ensure client playbooks stay fresh and relevant.

  • Drive the on-going development of TA’s own talent plans and the overall execution of performance metrics to maximize the team’s effectiveness for service delivery and adaptability to changing business needs.

  • Drive operational improvements and team engagement through transparency, ownership, and collaboration.

  • Track and report key recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and team’s performance

  • Network with industry and professional organizations to stay abreast of trending and best practices.

INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION

  • Maintain open requisitions load and achieve corresponding hiring goals.

  • Ensure proper application processing, interview scheduling, and document preparation, along with guiding hiring managers through a candidate selection process.

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand talent business needs, provide consultation on industry trends and competitive market intelligence data.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a recruiting position, managing a recruiting desk/supporting full lifecycle recruiting in a corporate or staffing environment.  The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience in a related field; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience.

  • Experience presenting and partnering with business leaders, along with strong consultation and negotiation skills.

  • Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to recruitment (FLSA, OFCCP, etc.).

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and various Applicant and Candidate Tracking Systems.

  • Ability to source, network and cultivate candidate pipeline.

  • High sense of urgency, along with extreme attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience directly supervising and leading a recruiting team

  • Previous experience working in a high paced staffing agency environment and managing requisitions across Continental US.

  • Prior experience recruiting for Diesel/Trailer/Automotive Technicians and other types of roles on a Transportation vertical.

Location:

  • This is an in-office position out of Indianapolis, IN location (96th and Meridian St)

  • Some flexibility for a hybrid schedule is available.


Drug Testing:

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $77,800.00 - $116,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company’s needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
