Description
This position is responsible for generating accurate and timely estimates for reconditioning services offered to all internal and external auction customers. These estimates are to be generated using formats and pricing defined by management. Serves as an entry-level Estimator. Gains familiarity with estimation concepts and practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide accurate reconditioning estimates for body, detail and mechanic (including PSI) services.
With guidance, performs basic estimation duties, including:

Inspecting vehicles for body, detail and mechanic needs.

Developing repair or reconditioning estimations, including parts and labor.

Assisting team members with part purchase / pricing detail and communication.

Placing work orders with repair and/or reconditioning teams.

Monitoring work progress, o Verifying accuracy and completeness of work once complete, o Documenting and updating records.

Develops positive working relationships with Estimation team members, allied teams and customers.

Wears and uses appropriate safety equipment while in or around vehicles and on the shop floor.

Follows all job-related safety and health procedures.

Assists with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 1 year of customer service experience preferred.

1 – 3 years of collision and/or mechanical estimating experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.

Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.

Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
-
Basic leadership skills preferred. Exhibit strong leadership skills.

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g. tools, equipment).

Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: Constant exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Compensation:
Hourly base pay rate is $17.40 - $26.06/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
