Description
The Senior Manager, Software Engineering - ServiceNow, provides strategic leadership and oversight to the Software Engineering team. This role is responsible for guiding the team in applying secure software engineering principles to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software on the ServiceNow platform. The Senior Manager collaborates with cross-functional leaders to understand business requirements, architecture, and technology direction, evaluating alternative approaches to ensure optimal software and system design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and direct the efforts of the software engineering staff.
- Ensure the application of agile principles to software development, focusing on delivering business value, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Create and review technical assessments, estimates, and high-level requirements for assigned projects.
- Drive the execution of solution development through effective resource allocation and management.
- Facilitate decision-making processes to reach consensus and implement the best solutions.
- Define and monitor success metrics for the team.
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with ITOM and ITSM modules.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with ServiceNow’s Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Proficiency in programming on the ServiceNow platform.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders and partners.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to contribute to the development of delivery tools and resources and provide thought leadership based on personal experience.
- Hands-on leadership and management skills to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are accurate.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 8 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years’ experience in a related field; or 20 years’ experience in a related field
- 10+ years of industry or relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Implementation Specialist in ITOM.
- Certified in system administration and application development (CSA, CAD).

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $142,100.00 - $236,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
