The Spot Producer/Director is responsible for collaborating with client-focused team personnel to brainstorm ideas for creative, develop project, and execute production. The responsibilities include:
• Works with sales consultant and client to establish key marketing objectives, production needs and proposed budget.
• Prepares production quotes for assigned projects and obtains appropriate approvals.
• Leads creative process and develops concepts within the established client budget which may include storyboards, scripts, etc. and obtains approvals at appropriate points.
• Creates and streamlines processes that ensure a timely follow through of production orders from initial contact to project delivery.
• Acts as creative consultant to sales consultant, sales leadership and client throughout the production process.
• Manages each project to identify resources, assign responsibilities/tasks, oversee execution and ensure timely delivery to client.
• Develops and creates original local commercials, public service announcements, in-house and corporate videos.
• Edits commercials to improve and refine elements so the finished product conforms to specific quality standards and time requirements.
• Coordinates talent, props, special equipment and shoot locations through the Production Manager or Production Supervisor.
• Plans, organizes, instructs crew and talent, selects camera shots, implements proper lighting patterns and audio/mic techniques, coordinates and schedules pre- and post-production with clients and other appropriate personnel.
• Organizes, schedules, and completes pre and post production meetings, script writing, coordinating voice over talent, directing on camera talent, lighting scenes in studio and field, camera operation, graphic design, editing and compression for commercials, PSAs, and other programs.
• Archive and maintain raw footage as well as final masters
• Video Compressions, label tapes/media or perform minor maintenance on edit suite equipment or field gear. Maintains and organizes studio and video gear assets.
• Supports production needs of Cox Communications Marketing, Community Affairs and Leadership on an as-needed basis.
• Concept and create digital banners for online display advertising, both static and interactive video banners.
• Experience shooting HD/4K footage for commercial, long form and commercial campaigns.
Qualifications:
Required:
• HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; Technical certification or Associates degree may be preferred and/or required in some areas;
• 3+ years of experience in related area of responsibility, proficient with software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite including, Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
• Thorough command of studio and field production process and techniques.
Preferred:
• Creative track record of graphic design and/or advertising demonstrated through portfolio of work
• 2+ years with graphic design experience in online or similar environments
• Experience in non-linear editing and working with various digital formats to support instruction and guidance of the editing of productions.
• Some experience with HTML5 and/or CSS (not required)
