What’s the hiring process like at Cox?

While the process may vary depending on the role, most jobs at Cox follow these six steps:

1. Apply online.

First, you’ll apply to a job through the Cox careers website. Our recruiters will review your application and determine if you’ll be continuing to the next step.

2. Chat with a recruiter.

If you’re a good fit, one of our recruiters will reach out for a quick phone call. This is your chance to learn more about the role and for us to get to know you better.

3. Interview with the hiring manager.

Next up, you may meet the hiring manager — either virtually, over the phone or in person. You might also chat with a few other team members.

4. Receive an offer.

Great news! The hiring team loved you, and you’ve got an offer! Keep an eye out for an email with your official offer letter. Remember, Cox will never ask for money or purchases as part of the hiring process.

5. Pre-employment screening.

Once you accept the offer, we’ll conduct a background check/pre-employment screening.

Navigating the job search process can bring up a lot of questions, and we’re here to help. First, search for a job on our website. Found a role you’re interested in? Great! Just click the “Apply Now” button at the bottom of the job posting and follow the prompts to complete and submit your application. It’s that easy!

Absolutely! You can apply to as many positions as you’d like. Plus, you can keep track of all your applications in your account profile on Workday.

Scammers sometimes try to impersonate recruiters, but there are a few ways to spot a fake offer. First, know that Cox will only extend offers to those who’ve applied through our official careers website. Our recruiters will never ask for sensitive personal information (like your banking details or Social Security number) via social media, email or text. You should only provide this kind of information through our secure application process. And remember, Cox will never ask you to make a purchase or send money during the hiring process. If you suspect the offer may be fraudulent, don’t send money — just report it to [email protected].

Once you submit your application, our talent acquisition team will review it to determine if you’re a good fit for the role. If selected, we’ll reach out to you to schedule an interview. You can always check your application status by logging into your account profile on Workday

You can edit your application before you submit it. However, once it’s submitted, you can only edit details of your profile.

Yes! Cox employees can refer qualified candidates through our internal Workday portal by selecting “Refer A Friend.” If you know a Cox employee, you can ask if they will refer you. 

First, thank you for helping us connect with a great candidate! To refer someone, just head over to the internal Workday portal and select “Refer A Friend.” From there, you can easily submit the referral and help someone you know take the next step in their career with Cox. 

If you’re selected to move forward to the next step in our hiring process, a representative from our talent acquisition team will reach out to you. In the meantime, you can also log in anytime to check your application status in your account profile on Workday
