This position is responsible for generating accurate, timely reconditioning estimates for all internal and external auction customers. Estimates are prepared using company-defined formats and pricing guidelines established by management.
Inventory management, vehicle parts estimation, and stocking shelves.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate reconditioning estimates for mechanical services (including PSI) for commercial, dealer, rental, and retail customers, as well as lot and internal damage.
Communicate estimates in all required formats (electronic, email, written, etc.) to meet internal and external customer expectations.
Develop basic estimates using information gathered from technicians, customers, and vendor sources.
Follow up on ETA for parts delivery.
Monitor repair status, timelines, and job progress to support cycle-time reduction and throughput goals.
Serve as a liaison between Client Services, reconditioning teams, mechanical shops, and external vendors to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
Assist in workflow coordination across departments to enhance operational efficiency, prioritize vehicle movement, and minimize delays.
Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation.
Gather parts pricing and information from vendors to support estimate accuracy.
Communicate clearly with customers, auction staff, and internal teams regarding services, products, and repair questions.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across teams and departments.
Support scheduling, dispatching, and process improvement initiatives as needed.
Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ year of customer service experience
Proficiency in PC applications and estimating software
Automotive parts knowledge
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (e.g., tools, equipment)
Vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Preferred
1–3 years of mechanical estimating experience
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide cross-functional coordination

Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $18.17 - $27.31/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
