The Advanced Convention Services (ACS) Senior Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients by leveraging all ACS products to meet and/or exceed sales quotas and ultimately helping to grow business. Responds and owns all requests from assigned ACS accounts in a timely and professional manner. Supports the overall objectives of the ACS team. Work location may vary.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts
- Negotiate pricing, products, and promotions with prospective clients
- Meet and exceed sales goals and overall objectives
- Develop and maintain sales plans, forecast data and customer database
- Collaborate with other team members to determine solutions to best meet customers’ needs
- Identify key decision makers; develops and conducts effective presentations
- Attend job-related trainings and participate in internal meetings
- Maintains current knowledge of all convention pricing and service options to match the product best suited for the customer.
- Responsible for day-to-day account management of all assigned accounts, including but not limited to quoting, billing, support, etc.
- Assists with pre and post conference meetings, both locally and nationally
- Establishes effective, professional working relationships with co-workers, boundary partners, outside vendors and contractors
- Efficiently organizes work day to maximize productivity by utilizing proper time management techniques
- Schedule varies depending on event schedule - must be able to work weekends and remain available to ACS Sales and Operations staff to assist with any questions and/or concerns
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- 6 years of experience in a related field (Convention-Related Sales and Support, Sales, Customer Service in Hospitality); or a BS/BA degree in a related discipline with 2 years of experience in a related field; or MS/MA degree in a related discipline
Preferred
- General knowledge of network topologies
- Experience in the commercial telecommunications industry
- Strong interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and flexibility to work effectively with peers, event vendors, boundary and building partners, and customers
- Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including data statistical, work processing, spreadsheet and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Polished written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational, analytical, and collaborative skills
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $42,400.00 - $63,600.00. The salary rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's experience. In addition to the salary range identified herein, this role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $20,640.00.
