Applies the principles of secure software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software and cloud infrastructure. Works cross-functionally to understand business requirements, architecture, and technology direction; evaluates alternative approaches; and ensures software and systems are designed accordingly. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts and practices to facilitate system functionality, scalability, resilience, and security, as well as ease-of-use across developer and end-user experiences. Applies agile principles to software development with a focus on delivery of business value, collaboration, continuous improvement, and sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Utilizes technical and procedural skills to support an assigned team's work within a specified application set or on discrete system elements.
Engages in design and development discussions, helping the team conceptualize desired outcomes from a software engineering perspective.
Contributes to the design and development of user interfaces using TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
Assists with feature and element estimation in terms of technical input, resources, time, and anticipated outcomes.
Develops and implements unit and systems testing for integral code paths, ensuring adherence to secure coding practices at all times.
Supports deployment and operation of application components on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
Provides technical support, including troubleshooting and enhancement for existing and new features within application and system structures.
Documents processes to capture best practices, applicable methodologies, and repeatability going forward.
Updates team members, manager, product owners, and other key stakeholders on status, challenges, and concerns.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field; or a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field with no degree.
Working knowledge of TypeScript and experience contributing to UI solutions; exposure to component-based frameworks such as React or Angular preferred.
Requires strong knowledge of Java or other object-oriented backend languages to support full-stack collaboration and system integration.
Familiarity with AWS or another major cloud platform (Azure, GCP) and basic cloud-native concepts such as serverless functions, containers, or CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent Foundational skills in analytical thinking, requirements analysis, software installation and support, system and technology integration, and technical troubleshooting to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Foundational skills in building partnerships, challenging personal limitations, driving innovation, focusing on execution, and striving for excellence.
Preferred
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) is a plus.

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $89,400.00 - $134,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
