Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Newburgh, NY or North Dighton, MA.
The Role:
The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) is an influential partner with business leaders and managers to deliver a full range of People Solutions services that support organizational objectives. This role focuses on driving business outcomes by executing talent strategies, enhancing organizational capability, and driving employee engagement through close collaboration with leadership and Centers of Excellence.
This is an onsite position based in either Newburgh, NY or North Dighton, MA. This role will also support auction locations in Bordentown, NJ; Fairfield, NJ; and Albany, NY. Up to 15% travel is required for this role.

This role supports local Manheim auctions. As the Sr. HRBP, you will engage with front-line employees, corporate leaders, and location leadership. Success in this role requires comfort in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Providing excellent customer service to employees and collaborating with leadership on strategic direction and initiative implementation is essential.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Partnership & Execution
Deliver a full range of People Solutions services for assigned client groups through partnership with leaders and HR Centers of Excellence to optimize the effectiveness of the business.
Support and influence leaders in the development of effective organizational designs.
Partner with leaders and recruiters to attract, develop, and retain employees in accordance with workforce planning efforts.
Participate in development of departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
Champion change and effectively guide business leaders through organizational change and transformation initiatives.
Talent Management & Development
Lead talent management processes, including talent planning, performance calibration, compensation processes and workforce planning for defined client group(s).
Partner with leaders and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure people strategies enable the attraction, development, and retention of top talent.
Plan and implement strategies to address talent gaps and build organizational capability.
Employee Engagement & Experience
Conduct and analyze talent and organizational data to identify trends and inform retention strategies.
Provide recommendations and insights to the leadership team to drive team effectiveness and employee experience improvements.
Consulting & Advisory Support
Provide day-to-day HR guidance to managers on People Solutions policies, processes, and practices.
Partner with leadership to support implementation of People Solutions programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with Employee Relations and leadership to address and resolve employee concerns.
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
Assist in the resolution of requests and inquiries in the areas of employment practices, federal and state employment laws, I-9s, performance and discipline.
Support consistent application of HR processes across assigned groups.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in Human Resources or related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 8 years’ experience in Human Resources.
Advanced skills in analytical thinking, business acumen, consulting, legal and regulatory environment and managing multiple priorities.
Advanced skills in building partnerships, communicating with consideration, driving innovation, engaging others and gaining others’ confidence.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate degree in business, HR or related field.
HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR.
Demonstrated ability to work in a geographically disbursed and matrix organization.
Project Management experience.
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and application.

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $89,500.00 - $134,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
