Job Description
This position coordinates the operational movement, staging, and sale readiness of vehicles throughout the auction process while supporting Dealer Services and Auction Operations teams. The role ensures efficient vehicle flow, inventory organization, workforce coordination, and operational execution to deliver a seamless auction experience for both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement of vehicles through the sales lane, auction block, and post-sale parking areas to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversees battery/jump-start operators, and push-truck operators to maintain safe and effective vehicle flow.
- Monitor inventory levels, vehicle locations, and operational priorities to ensure vehicles are properly staged and sale-ready.
- Verify vehicles are operational and coordinate towing, service, or reconditioning support when necessary.
- Partner with Check-In, Recon, Lot Operations, Transportation, and Dealer Services teams to ensure vehicles are accurately tracked, organized, and prepared for sale.
- Assist Dealer Services by supporting inventory management, sale-day readiness, issue resolution, and dealer inquiries related to vehicle status and operational services.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues that may impact vehicle movement, sale readiness, or auction efficiency.
- Participate in daily operational meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote and maintain compliance with all safety, operational, and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime as business needs require.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED
Requires strong computer knowledge
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Requires basic vehicle maintenance knowledge

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
