What You'll Do
As a Senior Automotive Maintenance Technician III, you will perform advanced diagnostics and repairs while serving as a technical resource and mentor for the shop team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all responsibilities of Technician I, II, and III roles
Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues involving:
Brakes
Steering and suspension
Electrical systems
Drivability concerns
Air conditioning systems
Major engine repairs
Vehicle safety inspections
Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and complete repairs accurately and efficiently
Assess vehicle repair needs and provide technical support to technicians
Mentor, coach, and train less experienced technicians
Conduct quality control inspections on completed work and notify leadership of exceptional or unsatisfactory performance
Ensure compliance with shop operating procedures, safety standards, and repair processes
Identify development opportunities for team members
Monitor workflow and recommend improvements to increase productivity and efficiency
Escalate recurring issues, trends, and operational concerns to management
Model and promote safe work practices and environmental compliance
Train new and existing employees on shop procedures and technical skills
Serve as a technical expert and trusted resource within the shop
Qualifications
Required
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
Minimum of 5 years of automotive maintenance and repair experience
Ability to drive automatic, manual, and electric vehicles
Michigan State Master Mechanic Certification and/or a minimum of five ASE certifications
Preferred
High school diploma or GED
ASE Certifications A1-A8 and L1 (where required by business needs)

Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $29.42 - $44.13/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
