This position is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of vehicles from the auction facility to customer dealerships, vendors, and designated locations. This role requires exceptional attention to safety, customer service, vehicle condition awareness, and adherence to company transportation procedures.
Shift: Mon - Wed 8am -5 pm or Wed - Fri 8am - 5pm
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely transport vehicles to and from dealerships, customer locations, auctions, and other designated destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document any existing or newly identified damage.
- Ensure vehicles are delivered on schedule and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate transportation records, mileage logs, and delivery documentation.
- Communicate delivery status, delays, and any vehicle concerns to management.
- Observe all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures while operating vehicles.
- Verify vehicle identification information and confirm proper delivery to the intended recipient.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service during all interactions.
- Assist with vehicle staging, movement, and lot organization as needed.
- Report incidents, accidents, or mechanical concerns immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Ability to safely drive various vehicle types, including cars, trucks, SUVs, and specialty vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must meet company insurance and driver qualification requirements.
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Previous auction experience.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
Drug Testing:
To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is $14.67. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
