The e-PII (Electronic Personally Identifiable Information) Navigation Clearing Associate is responsible for removing customer data from vehicle infotainment, navigation, and connected systems to ensure vehicles are compliant, secure, and ready for sale, shipment, or delivery. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to privacy standards, and the ability to accurately process vehicle electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Clear navigation history, saved destinations, home/work addresses, and recent locations from vehicle systems using Privacy4Cars APP.
- Remove customer profiles, driver profiles, and personalized settings from infotainment systems.
- Delete paired Bluetooth devices, connected accounts, phone contacts, messages, and call history.
- Verify removal of all electronic personally identifiable information (e-PII) in accordance with company procedures.
- Reset vehicle infotainment systems to factory settings when required.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure navigation and multimedia systems are functioning properly after clearing.
- Document completed work and maintain accurate processing records.
- Escalate system issues, software concerns, or quality defects to leadership.
- Meet daily production, quality, and safety standards.
- Follow all company policies regarding data privacy and vehicle handling.
- Use Privacy4Cars Dashboard and A400 to input and pull client information.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related work experience, OR any degree or certification above a High School Diploma/GED plus 1 year of related work experience, OR 5 years of related work experience.
- Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
- Basic computer and technology skills.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and enter/exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to work around vehicles and in outdoor environments as needed.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Drug Testing:
To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.
Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $16.59 - $24.86/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
