The evidence is clear: when girls experience STEAM education, they develop curiosity for lifelong learning.

Through partnerships with organizations like Girls Inc., we’re promoting STEAM education and empowering kids to grow bolder, stronger and smarter.

Promoting STEAM education is an important tenet of our 34 by 34 social impact goal: to empower 34 million people to live more prosperous lives by the year 2034.

We’re proud to support organizations like Girls Inc. on this pathway to a better future, and Cox employees are impactful opportunities and (paid volunteer hours) to support education in their own communities.

“Serving on the national board of Girls Inc. is an incredible opportunity to support the next generation of leaders,” said Karen Bennett, executive vice president and chief people officer at Cox Enterprises. “Together, we’re building a future where we can all thrive."

Since 2020, Cox employees have volunteered over 3,000 hours and built over 6,000 STEM kits for affiliates across the country, positively impacting the lives of over 19,000 girls.

“STEAM education fosters ingenuity, inspires creativity and enhances critical thinking,” said Maury Wolfe, vice president of corporate responsibility at Cox Enterprises. “By providing girls with these skills, we are able to give them the tools and confidence they need to discover their inner strength to pursue and achieve their dreams.”
