With generous benefits, an equitable workplace culture and a spirit of community driven by our amazing employees, Cox is a place where women have the support, resources and opportunities to achieve their dreams.

Fortune has once again named Cox one of the Best Workplaces for Women. The best part? This award is based on anonymous feedback from our employees.

We do love winning awards (especially when they’re earned based on employee experiences), but this isn’t simply a badge of honor; it’s proof of our commitment to building a workplace where women can grow, lead and succeed.

According to Great Place to Work, this award recognizes those who are “creating environments where women feel valued, seen and supported.”

“For me, it’s the little things that make Cox a great place to work,” said Renee Whaley, a senior scrum master at Cox Automotive. “Cox seems to keep in the forefront that no matter how great of an employee we are, we are still human beings who need support. For that, I’m eternally grateful.”

A place where women feel seen and heard

Mansi Demla joined Cox more than 17 years ago as a senior business analyst. Today, she’s a director of product management at Cox Automotive. Looking back on her journey, she credits Cox as a place where she’s been able to grow and make meaningful connections.

“As a woman, I’ve learned the importance of advocating for myself while staying true to who I am,” she said. “I feel empowered here because my voice matters, and I have the freedom to make meaningful decisions. The amazing people I work with, who inspire me every day, are why I’m still here. Cox truly feels like the perfect place for me.”

When Gelise David joined the company in 2022, it exceeded her expectations: “I knew Cox had a great reputation, but experiencing the culture firsthand was even better than I imagined.”

Gelise explained that, at Cox, she feels free to express herself fully (including wearing bright pink every other day) and voice her opinions.

“I’ve had numerous opportunities to provide feedback and engage in deep conversations with executive leadership,” she said.

She has seen firsthand how supportive managers can help fast-track your career growth. She credits her leaders for helping her advance in her career by stepping into a new role as a talent management analyst within her first year at the company.

A supportive culture that builds you up

Senior product manager Sandhya Shankarraman said that ever since she joined Cox in 2021, she’s felt more empowered to speak up for herself. She said that finding a company with a strong culture of respect has allowed her to “contribute and collaborate meaningfully and confidently.”

“I’m inspired by the intelligent, kind and responsible women around me who bring their best selves every day, and the supportive men who champion equality and collaboration.” Sandhya said.

A place where you’re empowered to grow

If Sarah Lynch’s career has taught her anything, it’s that hard work alone isn’t always enough to get ahead.

“It takes conversations with the right individuals, tracking projects and responsibilities and pursuing continued education,” she explained. “These were key elements to my career growth.”

But when Sarah joined Rapidscale (part of the Cox family of businesses) in 2023, she realized she wasn’t navigating her career growth alone anymore.

“What I love about working at RapidScale is that we are encouraged to seek growth and advancement through the company, whether it is an online learning course, an industry certification or mentoring with leaders in other divisions,” she said.

A place of respect, community and camaraderie

As the first woman in her family to earn a college degree, Brittany Loadholt has always been a trailblazer in her career.

“Working in a traditionally male-dominated field, I’ve faced challenges, but it has empowered me to grow, lead and be heard,” she said.

Joining Cox in 2021 was a game-changer: “Here, I’m valued for my skills and contributions, not just my gender. Feeling equal to my male colleagues isn’t just an aspiration; it’s my reality.”

But beyond career growth, Brittany has found something just as meaningful: a strong community of women.

“One of the most rewarding aspects of my journey is connecting with other women at Cox,” said Brittany, who is a lead product owner at Cox Automotive. “The support and mentorship we share reinforce the importance of lifting each other up.”

Career mobility and opportunity across the enterprise

Jenna Smith started her Cox career working in technical support for Cox Communications. Since then, she has moved into operations, communications, knowledge management and digital content. More recently, Jenna made the move across another part of the business and joined the product and technology group within Cox Automotive.

Jenna said she’s had great mentors, peers and leaders throughout her career at Cox. Now, as a culture program manager within the product and technology group at Cox Automotive, she’s helping to uphold and strengthen that same environment.

“I focus on building community, leveraging technology for efficiency and fostering connections for all team members,” she said.

A place that invests in its people

Kathryn Rooney was new to the auto industry when she first joined Cox Automotive in 2017. She never looked back.

“I quickly realized Cox welcomes and celebrates female leadership,” she said.

Her tenure at the company has included both field work and remote work, as well as the significant milestone of becoming a mom and taking steps toward team leadership.

“Cox has empowered me to live boldly, and I am so thankful for how much Cox has invested in me, my family and our future,” said Kathryn, who is now a marketing support specialist at Cox. “I cannot imagine where I would be without working for this amazing company; I am not only a better colleague or leader, but also a better wife, mother, friend and person!”
