Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Recruiting Coordinator II; the Recruiting Coordinator II plays a critical role in delivering a best-in-class Talent Acquisition (TA) experience by leading all post-offer onboarding activities and ensuring a seamless transition from offer acceptance through Day 1 readiness. This position manages onboarding workflows, drives candidate engagement, coordinates compliance requirements, and partners closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience while ensuring all pre-employment requirements are completed accurately and on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all hiring, compliance, and Day 1 readiness activities are completed accurately and on time
- Serve as the primary point of contact for newly offered candidates, providing clear expectations, guidance, and support throughout the onboarding journey
- Initiate and manage pre-employment screening requirements, including background checks, drug testing, motor vehicle reviews, and required compliance documentation
- Maintain and track onboarding milestones, ensuring candidates complete all required documentation and onboarding activities within established timelines
- Proactively engage candidates through phone, email, and text communications to remove obstacles, maintain momentum, and create a positive onboarding experience
- Partner closely with Recruiters, Hiring Managers, Compliance, DOT, Training, IT, and other internal teams to coordinate a successful onboarding experience
- Coordinate logistics associated with new hire onboarding, including travel arrangements, training enrollment, equipment provisioning, system access, and uniform fulfillment
- Monitor onboarding progress and escalating issues that could impact start dates, ensuring timely resolution and candidate readiness
- Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation within applicant tracking, HR, and onboarding systems
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the hiring manager and candidate experience
- Provides guidance to the Cox Fleet TA team and internal partners on technical/procedural questions as their subject matter expert
- Serve as a member of the Cox Fleet TA team by role modeling the vision of the team, the values of the company
- Drive operational improvements and team engagement through transparency, ownership, and collaboration
- Leverage available tools and resources to improve logistics management across the requisition lifecycle, from offer acceptance through Day 1 readiness.
- Network with internally and externally to stay abreast of trending and best practices
What Success Looks Like
- Candidates are successfully guided from offer acceptance to Day 1 with a high level of engagement and satisfaction.
- Compliance and onboarding requirements are completed within established service-level expectations.
- Hiring managers are equipped with timely updates and fully prepared new hires.
- Onboarding documentation remains accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- New hire start dates are achieved with minimal delays, creating a best-in-class onboarding experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience; or 5 years’ experience in a related field
- Associates degree or higher-level degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a fast paced, high volume, or complex environment required
- Minimum one (1) year as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator, HR Assistant or similar role
- Proven experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases (ex.// Workday, Paycor recruitment)
- Previous experience working in a Corporate Human Resources department
- Experience providing consultative guidance and recommendations to colleagues and stakeholders
- Able to handle difficult conversations with tact and sensitivity
- Self-directed problem solver with a desire to contribute to the organization’s reputation and success
- Ability to provide exceptional, consistent customer service to internal and external clients
- Strong responsiveness and sense of urgency
- Solid computer skills, including experience with MS Office (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Chrome, Smart Sheets, SharePoint)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, professionally, efficiently and follow through on multiple work initiatives at one time
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with a high level of discretion
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Drug Testing:
To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
