Cox Automotive is seeking an experienced marketing leader to support the Manheim Field Marketing team. The Manager-Field Marketing develops and executes local marketing strategies that support revenue growth, client engagement, and business objectives across two auction locations. This role leads a team of two marketing professionals, partners closely with auction leadership, sales teams and serves as the voice of marketing within the business.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. Candidates must be comfortable balancing strategy and execution while fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
This position reports to the Senior Manager-Marketing and maintains a strong partnership with auction leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute local marketing strategies aligned with auction, regional, and corporate business goals.
- Partner with auction leadership, field sales, and marketing stakeholders to drive client engagement, revenue growth and business results.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing professionals through regular feedback, performance management and career development.
- Build strong relationships with key dealer and commercial clients while serving as a trusted marketing advisor.
- Translate business goals into actionable marketing plans and ensure successful execution across assigned locations.
- Use data, KPIs, and market insights to evaluate performance, optimize campaigns, and identify new opportunities.
- Drive consistency, process discipline, accountability, and operational excellence across marketing activities.
- Champion adoption of AI-enabled tools, technologies, and best practices to improve efficiency, collaboration, and decision making.
- Manage marketing budgets and prioritize resources to maximize business impact and return on investment.
- Collaborate with creative, digital, and corporate marketing teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and strategic priorities.
- Partner with auction leadership to deliver exceptional sale-day experiences, events, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Regularly travel between assigned locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year experience in a related field; or 10 years experience in a related field
- 1+ year(s) of direct people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and employee development.
- Experience building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using data and analytics to drive business decisions and marketing performance.
- Experience managing B2B client relationships and marketing programs.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapt to changing business needs and industry dynamics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word and Copilot.
- Ability to work onsite and engage directly with business partners, clients, and team members.
- Physical demands: Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color and depth perception. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Stooping, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, pushing, pulling, walking and reaching may be required.
- Work environment: Exposure to outdoor weather conditions as well as noise, dust and fumes in auction lanes.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, and employee development.
- Automotive or auction related experience.
- Experience with budget and financial management.
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $89,400.00 - $134,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
