- Plan and prepare food items, ensuring all products are cooked properly and meet quality standards.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow recipes, food preparation procedures, safety guidelines, and sanitation standards.
- Rotate food products appropriately, including labeling, dating, and covering all items stored in the kitchen.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and perform preventative maintenance checks as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies.
- Monitor food loss and spoilage, accurately recording waste and identifying opportunities to reduce it.
- Fulfill food orders and requests in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests and team members.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in food service, culinary, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations, preparation techniques, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Previous experience working in a food service or commercial kitchen environment required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, particularly in customer-facing settings.
- ServSafe Certification is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to walk, stand, reach, bend, stoop, handle food products, taste, and smell.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and work safely in a kitchen environment.

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $12.40 - $18.65/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
