What You’ll Do
You’ll put your skills to work as a mid-level auto technician performing medium-duty work. You will:
- Perform highly skilled maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicle systems.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and drivability issues, including brakes, tires, suspension and related components.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics and repairs across key systems, including starting and charging AC, OBDII and electrical systems.
- Complete detailed mechanical inspections, including required measurements, and document any deficiencies across interior, exterior, engine and driveline components.
- Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards, including proper handling of recyclables, fluids, tires and waste.
- Assist with upfitting new vehicles with required equipment.
- Source and manage parts through approved vendors.
- Support additional service needs, including OEM recall work as required.

Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED with 3 years of related work experience; or any degree or certification above a high school diploma/GED with one year of related work experience; or 5 years of related work experience without a degree.
- A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
- Current ASE Certification: G1, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8
- EV experience preferred

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. Compensation:
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $24.23 - $36.35/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Benefits:
Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
