Summary
The Business Process Design & Improvement Senior Analyst, Order to Cash (O2C), supports process design and improvement across Cox Automotive (CAI). Reporting to the Manager, Business Process Design & Improvement, O2C, the Sr. Analyst partners with business stakeholders, to improve processes, apply best practices, and support end-to-end process governance.
The role identifies and addresses complex business challenges across CAI's O2C functions, including Billing, Billing Support, Cash Application, Commercial A/R Management, Collections, and Revenue Operations. The Sr. Analyst supports strategic initiatives throughout the project lifecycle by gathering requirements, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, enabling change, and recommending solutions that improve process performance and customer and user experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead projects end-to-end, from scoping and planning through execution and delivery.
- Provide thought leadership to cross-functional teams, including resource estimation, milestone planning, facilitation, change management, and status reporting.
- Understand O2C system integrations and upstream and downstream impacts on processes and data.
- Identify best practices and opportunities to optimize people, processes, and technology across CAI's O2C functions.
- Provide process design and improvement support across organizational units and large, integrated processes and functions.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities across product development, sales, marketing, operations, operations, information systems, finance operations, vendor management, and customer experience.
- Analyze complex, cross-functional business problems; identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions aligned with business needs.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements to support solution design, implementation planning, and project management.
- Support day-to-day activities of the O2C process excellence function.
- Analyze business models and processes, including inputs, outputs, controls, dependencies, and user and customer experience.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to analyze business problems, identify process improvements, increase efficiency, and develop actionable insights while applying appropriate critical judgment to AI-generated outputs.
- Partner with process owners and stakeholders to develop change recommendations, testing strategies, success measures, and approaches for evaluating effectiveness.
- Develop process maps, decision documentation, and cost-benefit analyses to define current-state conditions, future-state options, and impacts of proposed changes.
- Support implementation and adoption through training, communications, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Evaluate post-implementation results, document lessons learned, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend next steps.
- Build effective partnerships, communicate thoughtfully, collaborate intentionally, develop trust, and explore innovative solutions to business challenges.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 4 years of relevant experience; a master's degree and 2+ years of experience; or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in business process analysis, process design, continuous improvement, or related business transformation work.
- Experience gathering and documenting requirements, mapping processes, and evaluating alternatives using analytical tools and techniques.
- Experience working within a Center of Excellence environment is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities, and adapt to changing environments.
- Experience supporting cross-functional projects, including project documentation, milestone tracking, issue identification, and status reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business partners, facilitate discussions, and translate analysis into clear recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio or comparable process-mapping tools.
- Skilled proficiency in Analytical Thinking, Business Acumen, Business Process Management, Customer Focus, and Project Administration & Management.
- Skilled proficiency in Builds Partnerships, Collaborates with Intent, Communicates with Consideration, Develops Trust, and Drives Innovation.
- Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean, PMP, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or comparable process improvement/project management training or certification.
- Experience with O2C automation platforms supporting cash application, credit, collections, or invoicing.
- Experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional process improvement or change initiatives in a complex organization.
- Experience developing cost-benefit analyses, process performance measures, testing strategies, training, or change adoption plans.
- Experience with process modeling, workflow, data visualization, or project management tools.

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $81,400.00 - $122,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
